Construction elements
The key elements for fixing modules are made of aluminium sections; holders and bolts are made of steel. For ground-based applications, hot-dip galvanized metal structures with the necessary durability can be used. The K2 construction forms freely combinable modular systems. Most of the time, just basic equipment is needed for installation, i.e. an Aku screwdriver, a spanner and a level. The most “labour intensive” part is the layout of the system, a process which needs to take into account the total amount of space needed, possible shielding, access to panels for repairs, and load per square meter of area. When designing the construction, the type should be selected based on the roofing material used.
